We are currently recruiting for a suitably experienced Senior Estimator to join our friendly team located at Wick lane in Bow. As the Senior Estimator you will have worked in a similar industry with experience of working on Highways, Infrastructure or Maintenance Projects. This role reports to the Bid Director.
Other responsibilities for this role will include (not exhaustive):
- Be an integral member of the team, you must be experienced in working to Highways method of measurement
- You will build a strong relationship with internal and client counterparts, along with our supply chain for quotations
- Pricing of SOR items for Term Maintenance Contracts
- Strong knowledge of Highways Method of Measurements
- Analysing of tender enquiry documents and be proactive in your approach
- Drafting BOQ from spec and drawings where necessary to support the works
- Pricing from First Principles
- Work closely with the Estimating and Operations teams across all packages of works to drive and deliver solutions
As our ideal Senior Estimator you will have:
- ESSENTIAL – The use of Causeway 3 estimating software and/or similar estimating package
- The ability to work independently preparing the fully compliant bid ready for settlement
- The ability to follow internal compliance requirements
- Working knowledge of Ch. 8 part 1,2 and 3, TSRGD 2016, Safety of Streetworks & Roadworks Code of Practice
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Good oral, written communication; and presentation skills with strong numeracy and analytical ability
In this role you will be in liaison with stakeholders across the businesses of Riney, Tarmac, CRH and local authorities where you must be able to travel across the region of work
