Salary: Pro rata to reflect TTO weeks and hours worked

Shift hours: 32.5

The main function of the role is to deliver restorative, behavioural and wellbeing interventions for children and young people across the City. This will sometimes involve visiting up to 5 providers in a day.

We work with both Primary and Secondary pupils (aged 5-16) who may have Emotional, Behavioural or Special Educational Needs.  The role also involves working with permanently excluded pupils, those in danger of permanent exclusion and supporting student transition.

We value diverse perspectives and experiences and are striving to create a workplace culture that is inclusive, is accepting of all and is free from discrimination and bias.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

You will be expected to work on your own initiative with families, schools, management, staff, relevant professionals, and other agencies. You will also be expected to vary the support offered to students, to meet their individual needs and the needs of the provider. This could include setting up and attending meetings, writing behaviour plans, delivering one to ones, mentoring, teaching behaviour strategies, group work, target setting, lesson observations, monitoring progress and attendance, calls and home visits.

We will offer you an opportunity to network, gain experience in primary and secondary school settings, a high quality of support, training and a commitment to continuing your professional development.
