Salary: £53311 – £57058 pa plus £5000 market supplement annually

As our Building Control Team Leader, you will work closely with the Building Control Manager to oversee the delivery of the Building Control service, lead innovation and ensure the quality and performance of the team. You will need to have your competence validated by the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) through Building Safety Competence Foundation (BSCF), the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) or Total Training and be qualified to work on any Class 2 building.

You must have substantial experience working in Building Control, including dealing with complex and high-risk projects. Experience in managing, supervising, and mentoring staff is desirable.

You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and prioritise your workload. You will also need to have a valid driving licence as you will be required to travel to various sites across the city.

Successful candidates will be invited to attend a two-stage selection process, involving firstly, a telephone interview with Kate Rich, Building Control Manager, to gauge experience. Following this, successful candidates will be invited to a formal panel interview on 4th June 2024.
