Are you an experienced Senior/Principal Cost Manager looking to take a step up in your career?

With our extensive growth within Cost Management, Pick Everard are seeking a new Associate Cost Manager to lead and shape our offering in central Birmingham and within the region. 

Working closely with the Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the team are working collaboratively towards the same goal to achieve business targets; with a focus on delivering high level of quality for our clients.

 

You’ll have the opportunity to work across an array of sectors to include defence, commercial, residential, education and healthcare. You will be taking the lead on some of our complex major projects and programmes, providing a focused approach to the further development of the client resulting in sustainable and profitable long-term programmes of work.

About You

Our ideal Associate Cost Manager must be:

  • A Chartered Surveyor with significant post chartered relevant experience – Membership of RICS is essential
  • Have a strong track record in a similar Quantity Surveying role, including cost management of building projects, feasibility/option studies, detailed cost planning, post contract cost management
  • Have a thorough understanding of the principal standard forms of Building Contracts including JCT and NEC3
  • Have experience in liaison directly with clients

It would be nice for you to have:
  • Worked within the private sector, due to the nature of the clients 
  • The ability to control day to day programming and planning
  • Excellent client communication skills
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • An excellent self-motivated, friendly, efficient, and enthusiastic attitude
