The University of Salford has an exciting opportunity for an inspiring and engaging leader to manage the Wellbeing Team within Student Support. 

The core function of the Wellbeing team is to provide appropriate support and intervention for students experiencing emotional and / or psychological distress, or significant personal difficulties that may impede their engagement, success, and progression whilst at university.    

About the Wellbeing Manager role… 

The Wellbeing Manager role is integral to the delivery of an excellent, rounded student experience, rooted within our Mental Health Strategy.   

Leading the wellbeing service area, the Wellbeing Manager will be responsible for ensuring service delivery and excellence, through integrated partnership, working with stakeholders and partners to ensure a seamless, high-quality, and consistent experience.  

An inspiring and engaging leader, you will work with our student-focused wellbeing service and highly skilled team on to its ambition of being a sector leading student service.  
 
Bringing your expertise as a registered professional, you will contribute to delivery of student facing activity, providing support for students experiencing emotional, psychological, or mental health difficulties, by providing a timely, accessible, and confidential service.  

Working with colleagues within Student Support regarding day-to-day operations and case management, you will lead colleagues using data and metrics to support delivery of service excellence, alongside carrying a small student caseload.

The Wellbeing Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the relationships with third party suppliers, partner organisations key community links, as well as having responsibility for our out of hours provision for students in crisis. 

The role will report into the Head of Student Support and will work closely with other managers of the student support service area.
