This is a new position and an excellent opportunity to make a difference and drive the transition which will include all aspects of our Business from organisation design, management systems, licence, and land transfer and I.T. systems.
As we prepare and move into the next stage of Deconstruction, Hinkley Point B Power station will transfer from EDF to Magnox to manage the lifecycle to a care and maintenance state. The Transfer and Deconstruction Group has been established to safely plan and execute these activities without detriment to the delivery of the Station Defueling programme.

Pay, benefits and culture
We can offer a competitive salary from £79,619 – £92,064 with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. The starting salary will be dependent on your existing salary, competence, experience, and qualifications.

What you’ll be doing
You will be part of a wider matrix organisation and need a strong communication and influencing ability within both the Station and the Fleet teams to ensure we can progress the required activities safely, compliantly and to schedule.
The role will include the following responsibilities:
- Design and management of the Station transition plan through to transfer
- Lead the organisational design project, matching the structure to the work scope in readiness for transfer including associated Management of Change.
- Engage and oversee the Station Transfer project with the Central Programme Team ensuring all aspects have Station engagement for successful delivery.
- Drive the Transfer programme to schedule and identify risk.
- Liaising and interfacing with key stakeholders involved with programme scope and delivery.
- Monitoring and maintaining compliance and being Station point of contact for all transfer activities.
- Deputising for the Transfer and Deconstruction Manager
Who you are
As a minimum, you’ll be educated to Degree or equivalent, in a technical or engineering field. You should also be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to maintaining high operational standards and have a high level of self-motivation, safety management awareness and good written and oral communication skills.
