Applications are welcome from suitably qualified ECTs as well as experienced, committed teachers to join a highly successful department. Ā Graveney is an oversubscribed, co-educational school designated ā€˜outstandingā€™ by Ofsted in November 2022.Ā 

English is an extremely successful and popular subject at Graveney. Key Stage 4 results in June 2023 were 88% grades 9 -4 in Language and 89% in Literature. Key Stage 5 results are also well above the national average and there are currently around 200 students studying English Literature at A/AS Level. The Department employs a range of dynamic teaching styles and is committed to innovative and diverse curriculum development. Many members of the Department teach across the age and ability range at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.Ā 

Drama is also a dynamic and innovative Department taught partly at KS3 with avid uptake at GCSE and AS/A Level. Result at Key Stage 4 in 2023 were 74% 9-4 and 100% A*-C at Key Stage 5. There is a strong ethos of creative arts at Graveney and there are a wide range of extra-curricular trips and opportunities for students to perform in front of their peers as well in the annual School production.
