Skipton Building Society has anexciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join its Credit Risk& Risk Modelling team in Skipton. You will drive risk management activity with abreadth of opportunity to add value to the Society. Weâ€™ve adapted really wellto home working during the current pandemic, so although the role is based atour Head Office in Skipton there would not be a requirement for you to be inthe office full time. You will have theopportunity to flexibly work across the Credit Risk & Risk Modellingteam to support leaders and collaborate with colleagues to deliver departmentpriorities and personal objectives as required. At times the role may alsoinvolve working with cross functional project teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will havea passion for analytics and risk management. Youâ€™ll be responsible for driving analysisto continually evolve our management of risk and deliver key insight to the riskcommittees at the Society. Youâ€™ll write and run SAS/SQL code to analyse data,interpret outcomes and make relevant recommendations based on your broaderexperience of credit management, lending strategy development or using creditbureau data to manage risk. As a highly motivated individual, you will identifyopportunities to support change, through initiatives and projects.
This role will allow you to build excellentrelationships with a range of stakeholders. Youâ€™ll act as a role model,supporting activities across the Society, demonstrating an awareness of theexternal environment, where you will bring a deep understanding of credit risk anda good understanding of modelling and economics. You wonâ€™t hesitate to work autonomously andmanage own workloads, identifying opportunities. Youâ€™ll continue yourdevelopment, gaining relevant specialist skills and training in appropriateanalytical tools to aid your work, share best practice, with the potential tocoach more junior members. There will beopportunity to work across the Credit Risk function on a range of activity.

What You’ll Bring

With experience in using advanced Excel, SAS,SQL, R or Python, youâ€™ll have the aptitude and enthusiasm to learn new toolsand approaches to analytics.
