The Opportunity
Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Lead to be responsible for implementing, managing and continually improving the Quality Management for the SZC project, within our Project Delivery Organisation (PDO).
Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.
The Role
You’ll work closely with the SCZ functions to ensure that project quality is delivered consistently, safely and efficiently.
Specifically, you’ll be accountable for reporting to the Programme Directors on all quality delivery activities, supporting the Project Managers to deliver their scope of work “right first time”, and ensuring the project is compliant with the current revision of ISO900, treating Nuclear Safety as paramount.
You’ll also contribute to the design, development and implementation of the quality strategy for the PDO Programmes and the respective supply chains, managing the team and resources necessary to deliver Quality objectives.
Additionally, you’ll help develop and deploy the SZC Integrated Management System, Non-Conformance, Learning, Audit, Surveillance and Inspection and Records management process and tools required for the Programmes.
The Skills
You’ll be a Quality professional ideally with expert knowledge of Quality Systems, ISO 9001, ISO 19443, ISO 14001 and interrelated processes such as ISO 45001, GSR-2/3.
Preferably you’ll have experience with supervising and managing teams, and the ability to influence and encourage change of behaviours across a wide range of organisational levels.
Large- scale infrastructure project experience would be beneficial.
If the above sounds like you, then we’d love to hear from you!
