Job Introduction

Main Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, your accountabilities will include the following: 

  • Owning and delivering all change and BAU IT projects, ensuring accountability for project delivery. 
  • Collaborating with the Transformation Office to standardize and mature project delivery methods. 
  • Managing projects using agile Scrum, Kanban, and waterfall methodologies. 
  • Providing leadership for project teams, motivating, coaching, and developing staff. 
  • Delivering projects of varying size and complexity across the full project lifecycle, including creating and operating governance with appropriate monitoring and controls. 
  • Owning IT resource demand, capacity, and utilization reporting, while supporting resource planning and allocation. 
  • Collaborates with matrixed project teams based on-shore and off-shore (business analysts, product owners, designers, developers, testers, infrastructure, and in-life operational teams). 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrable experience in Project/Programme related roles, focusing on IT Delivery, ideally in a Retail or Fintech organisation  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of methodologies that will work effectively in a transformation and technology delivery program
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-driven, with a strong ownership mind-set
  • Batchelor’s or Maters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field (preferred)
