Training Instructor

As a trainer at Sizewell B Power Station in Suffolk, we can offer you the chance to influence real change and improve performance.
Working within a diverse team of Operational and Technical instructors you will interact with individuals and groups from across the station, the wider company and have regular opportunities to engage with peers from around the world.

Pay, benefits and culture
We can offer a competitive salary from £37,080 – £67,175 and you’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.

What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll carry out the following roles and responsibilities:
- Creating and providing Training courses for new and existing Operations Technicians
- Meeting with your trainees and their supervisors, managers and other parties across the business to identify new training courses and solutions for your teams
- Reviewing your training sessions – to look at what works well and supporting your teams’ development.
- Acting as course coordinator and administrator for your training programmes
- Supporting the transfer of high standards of knowledge and skills to the safe operation of the power station.
Who you are
Ideally you should hold an appropriate qualification at HNC level or equivalent. Experience in the education, maintenance, engineering or operations industries would be preferable. Applicants will need to be a good communicator; demonstrating excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. Prior experience in instructing would be advantageous but not essential. All applicants will be supported through the EDF teaching processes courses in addition to the EDF instructor course, if they do not already hold equivalent teaching qualifications.
