Nottingham City Homes manages more than 27,000 homes across the city on behalf of Nottingham City Council. Our vision is to ‘create homes and places where people want to live’. All of our homes have reached the decent homes standard and, as part of our ‘Building a better Nottingham’ programme, we are building hundreds of new council homes – the biggest programme of its kind for a generation.
Nottingham City Homes is looking to recruit a number of experienced, qualified painters to work on our commercial new build projects and our void property work stream. Naturally, you will have experience in a repairs, new build, maintenance or a void property environment, including assessing and inspecting jobs, updating records and undertaking a high level of work.
As part of your daily duties you will be required to complete documentation including orders, log sheets, timesheets and PDA/Electronic reports. You will also be responsible for the ordering, collection and efficient use of materials. As this is a cross trade position, the ideal candidate will possess knowledge and first-hand experience of completing ‘first time fix’ of other trades, where appropriate.
Apprentice trained, you will hold a suitable qualification such as City & Guilds Advanced Crafts or NVQ 3, or evidence of qualification by experience. You’ll bring an organised but flexible approach and the ability to meet deadlines.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
Closing date: 25 January 2021. This may be subject to change based on volume of suitable applications
