It’s an exciting time for SEA as we expand our Canadian operations and team. We are currently looking for outstanding people to form the core of our growing team in Ottawa.

As the Operations Project Manager, you will lead the development of our operational capabilities through the implementation of systems, processes and tools. You will be a key member of the SEA Canada team, working closely with our delivery and functional support teams to enhance our operational capabilities and build our Canadian business by enabling the delivery and support of highly engineered naval systems.

What you’ll be doing
  • Scope, mobilize and execute a portfolio of projects that enable and enhance the operational capability of SEA Canada including: the outfit and occupation of our Ottawa facility; IT systems development; securing site security clearance; and the implementation of product lifecycle management tools.
  • Manage projects, tasks and work packages, taking responsibility for the outcomes, budget, quality and timescales.
  • Organize regular meetings with project delivery teams to track progress.
  • Generate project reports to track key metrics and information on project progress, including financial status.
  • Identify, manage and report project risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure the configuration management of project documentation.

 

 The skills you need

  • Knowledge of the full range of project management competencies including: financial management; earned value management; risk and opportunity management; and supplier and subcontractor management.
  • Hands-on experience of working with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project Online, including the ability to use advanced features when necessary.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing techniques and the implementation of product lifecycle management tools would be an asset.
  • Experience of managing infrastructure, systems and business improvement projects would be an asset
  • The ability to work within and lead multi-functional teams to deliver common goals.
  • An excellent communicator and able to demonstrate both effective change and conflict management with highly developed influencing skills
  • Project Management Professional Certification would be an asset.
  • Must have, or be able to secure, a Canadian security clearance.
