Northumbrian Water AMP8 Framework – Expression of Interest –
Costain have been appointed by Northumbrian Water Group (NWG) to help shape and deliver its strategic AMP8 infrastructure upgrade programme.
Under the new industry leading collaborative partnership, the Living Water Enterprise (LWE), our role will be to upgrade Northumbrian Water’s wastewater and water treatment infrastructure and deliver social value by safeguarding the environment while also ensuring that customers continue to have access to high quality drinking water throughout the North East region.
This is the latest in a number of significant recent wins for Costain in the Water sector and this key contract starts immediately and will run for a seven-year initial term with an option for a further five-year extension.
We are now seeking expressions of interest from candidates wishing to develop their careers and join our talented delivery team in the North East. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates of all levels across various disciplines including Design, Commercial, Site Delivery, Health & Safety and MEICA.

Right to Work & Security Checks
Understandably given the nature of our business, everyone who is employed at Costain must undergo thorough referencing checks. We will need different information depending on the job we have offered you. For all roles, we’ll carry out a criminal record check and we’ll ask to see evidence that you have the legal right to work in the UK.
For some of our roles, you may be required to obtain and maintain security clearance of at least Security Check level (or SC clearance). To satisfy the requirements, you will need to have been a legal UK resident for a minimum of 5 years and have successfully complete all stages of the vetting process.
