Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the People Team as our HR Information Systems, Data & MI Leader. In this role you will design and implement our HR Information Systems (HRIS) strategy which, through new systems and change management processes, will deliver policy and legislative compliance, streamline HR performance, and produce insightful analysis to support decision making as part of Skipton’s wider business strategy.

You will act as the lead in relation to data and MI for the People Team and lead a small team of Specialists.

What you will be doing

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Setting ouroverarching HRIS Strategy in collaboration with the Head of People Operations in order that it is aligned with the wider business objectives and our People Plan.

  • Leading the HRIS Team to ensure that they are engaged, focused, and deliver to their full potential.

  • Collaborating with the IT function to ensure timely delivery of the Business As Usual HRIS agenda.

  • Programme manage HRIS implementation projects as required in order to support the delivery of the HRIS strategy.

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert on HR Information Systems and utilise knowledge of market trends and external developments to inform HRIS strategy updates.

  • Work closely with our People Service Centre Manager to ensure strong data governance for the People function and act as the ‘go-to’ expert for the Society people data, managing the data integrity on behalf of the People Function Data Owner

  • Ensure robust data management processes and protocols are in place in line with GDPR requirements and standards.

  • Improve the quality of our data. Helping to define data quality metrics, performing data quality monitoring, investigating and resolving data quality issues ensure we maintain high standards of quality of our data.

  • Identify opportunities to digitise and streamline HR data handling and optimising the People team’s MI capability.

  • Drive forward automatic reporting and analytics for people data, making sure that systems are streamlined.

  • Act as custodian/ lead for People data reports, analytics, metrics and dashboards for management/users.

What you’ll bring

You will have significant experience of creating and delivering a HRIS Strategy coupled with experience of leading a HRIS, Data and MI function. Previous experience of Workday would be a significant advantage given we have just implemented Workday in the People Team.

We’re looking for astrategic thinker with the ability to develop long term plans for the HRIS, data and MI Function that enable delivery of business goals. You will have strong project management and systematic planning skills coupled with experience of programme managing projects relating to HRIS, data and MI with the ability to work in both a technical and strategic capacity alternating between the two as required. You should be able to draw meaningful insight from data and make clear logical recommendations based on the insight. We would also like you to have up to date knowledge of current thinking and trends in the HRIS, data and MI arenas.  The successful candidate will also have the ability to influence, engage and work in partnership with senior stakeholders
