Health Safety & Security Manager (Haven)
Location: Field Based – This role requires travel to Haven locations across the UK (although will primarily be to sites in the North and West)
Annual Salary: Competitive + bonus and benefits (Including Car Allowance)
Your Opportunity:
Are you passionate about health, safety, and security in the leisure and hospitality industry? Join Haven as a Health Safety & Security Manager and help us ensure our sites are safe and secure, providing a foundation for fun. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to travel to various Haven locations, engage with site & central management, and drive the implementation of robust safety standards. This is a dynamic and influential position where you will support and challenge our sites & central leaders to deliver excellent safety performance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Embedding
“We are Safe and Secure” as a core value across allocated sites.
Providing
proactive, visible, and progressive oversight of the HSS agenda/programme.
Supporting
the Health, Safety, Security Director and wider HSS team with the design,
deployment, and management of the HSS programme.
Ensuring
effective support, challenge, and assurance of HSS across sites, focusing
on key risk areas.
Delivering
targeted HSS engagement, communications, and training sessions.
Supporting
and developing Site safety champions (PFSA’s) to ensure their capability
in their roles.
Implementing
and monitoring continuous improvement initiatives.
Managing
HSS risks and ensuring effective risk control measures are in place.
Supporting
the implementation and monitoring of HSS policies, systems, procedures,
and standards.
Providing
subject matter expertise to ensure our sites are compliant with relevant
HSS legislation and internal company standards.
What We’d Like You to Bring:
Thorough
working knowledge of relevant HSS standards and regulations.
Experience
in safety management within the leisure and hospitality sector.
Proficient
in incident reporting and investigation.
Experience
with HSS management systems and auditing.
Strong
coaching skills and capable of delivering HSS training effectively.
Strong
written and oral communication skills.
Ability
to handle multiple projects and adapt to new initiatives quickly.
Valid
driving licence, as travel across the UK is required.
Proven
experience in safety management.
Qualification
in safety or equivalent (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma/Certificate or equivalent).
Membership
in a recognised professional safety body desirable (e.g., IOSH).
