We are looking to appoint a talented and dedicated professional to this key role within Newcastle College University Centre (NCUC). NCUC currently has over 2,000 full and part-time students studying at HE level, across an exciting range of subjects and qualifications including Honours and Foundation Degrees.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the only FE organisation in possession of Taught Degree Awarding Powers, to manage and co-ordinate two key portfolios of work: research and scholarly activity, and student partnership and engagement. The successful candidate will join NCG at an exciting time as we implement our new HE Strategy to grow and develop our high-quality HE provision. At NCG you will work collaboratively with each of our colleges to co-create a HE experience that is distinctive to the needs of the community it serves, while having qualities of transformative, highly vocational study and a curriculum of compassion.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have significant experience of successful bid writing and project management, and have a commitment to student partnership and co-creation.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Leading on the implementation of the Research and Scholarly Activity, and Student Partnership and Engagement strategies.

Lead on improvements of the Student Voice aspect of the Higher Education Student Survey (HESS) and National Student Survey (NSS).

Supporting staff in applying for appropriate HEA Fellowship status, research funding and conference presentations.

Identifying, bidding for, and contributing to the successful development, implementation and evaluation of HE research projects for NCUC.

Compiling and analysing large data sets to provide recommendations for enhancement.

Working with cross-college and external partners to devise, embed and report upon key metrics and data as relevant to the HE student experience and graduate outcomes.

Should you consider yourself to have the skills and attributes for this role, we would be delighted to hear from you. For further details and to discuss the role in more detail, please contact Melissa Turner, Assistant Director of HE Quality and Standards at Melissa.turner@ncgrp.co.uk
