Overview

Further Education Teacher (SEND)

We are seeking to appoint a teacher with a passion to support special school leavers in their journey to prepare for adulthood.  Ideally having experience of working with learners who identify as SEND, you will be creative and able to adapt learning to support learning and personal development.

Your team will include teachers, tutors and learning support colleagues. On a regular, you will also work with a skilled and experienced team of student support workers, with small class sizes and high levels of support. Out pathways are highly personalised and alongside Preparing for Adult Hood, learners will each have a bespoke package of health and support interventions including physio and hydro therapy, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy, access to a skilled and experienced team of assistive technologist, and positive behaviour practitioners.

Vocational themes of learning support students to make progress, both educationally and in self-advocacy, confidence, self-belief and resilience in preparation for life beyond college in busy and fulfilling destinations.

If you would like an informal discussion around this role, please email Beaumont College Lead tom.armstrong@beaumontcollege.ac.uk  to arrange this.
