RAF Cosford is a military base in the West Midlands based between Telford and Wolverhampton, Shropshire. The base is fully operational and feeds and accommodates up to 3,500 service personnel.
This is a hands-on role across multiple kitchens, working closely alongside the Managers and Catering leads
As the site Executive Chef you will be responsible for the:
- Delivering a range of food and catering services across several outlets within a busy catering environment.
- Planning, organising and directing tfood services ensuring that the company’s reputation for quality is always enhanced with customers and clients
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of contract performance as a key member of the contact leadership team.
- Leading the team through effective communication & performance management
- Planning, organising and executing banquets and functions of all levels and size
- Driving sales through centrally driven menu planning, promotions and preferred suppliers
- Leading a health & safety culture across all food service operations
In addition you will also be required to
- Lead the catering operations to ensure all food production, labour & GP targets are achieved across the contract/site
- Recruit, trains & develop the team ensuring successions plans are in place and the company Apprenticeship programme is supported where applicable
- Ensure food purchasing and stock management is managed effectively
