About the role

What will you be doing?

The role is varied and includes:

  • To collate, analyse and interpret complex data to support early years place planning for future needs and market management.
  • Regular collating supply and demand data to highlight areas of sufficiency need, to support the decision making of  how capital and revenue funding is allocated,  to support the government expansion of entitlements and wraparound programmes.
  • Termly sufficiency reporting, which will be used to report to DfE and senior management.
  • Annual review and development of the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment.
  • Supply data from Ofsted Download information on prospective and active providers.
  • Communicating with Early Years settings and other professionals.
  • Supporting the Early Education and Childcare team and Early Years Lead.

About you

We are looking for someone who has great organisational skills and has the ability to use their own initiative.  The individual must have excellent IT skills with experience of using a range of programmes, as well as data gathering and analysis processes. The candidate will be required to have good levels of numeracy.

Excellent communication skills are essential. This is a fast-paced, varied role which will suit someone who can work under pressure, meet deadlines, is professionally reliable and flexible.

You will need:

  • Experience of analysing and interpreting data and presenting analytical analysis for reporting purposes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication when working with internal teams and a variety of stakeholders.
  • Advanced IT skills, which include Microsoft 360 and using Excel and accurate data input skills.
  • A real ‘eye for detail’, and to be methodical and accurate.
  • To be a great team player who is flexible and enjoys tackling a wide variety of different tasks in an interesting but changeable and fast paced environment.
