Overview
As a Community Meals Catering Assistant you will make a difference by providing nutritious meals to some of the elderly and vulnerable members of our community who may not be able to cook for themselves.
What will you be doing?
- You will be working at Badminton Road, Yate to assist the cook with the preparation and cooking of hot and cold food and snacks for lunch and tea time meals.
- You will work with the catering team in the kitchen to ensure the food service is on time, serviced and packed for the drivers to collect and distribute in the community
- You will be actively partaking in cleaning duties and complete cleaning schedules.
- You will have the opportunity to learn new skills to support development.
What you need to know
- Community meals is a year-round service, including Christmas and Bank holidays
- Based at the Council Offices, Badminton Road, Yate, Bristol, BS37 5AF
- Hours: various shifts available, with start times of either 7.00 am or 8.00 am – with mid-day finish
- Uniform will be provided
- We will offer food hygiene and Allergen training if required
